Whiteboard Activities
What is it?
Every Moby lesson and problem can now be displayed on your whiteboard!  This is huge!  This means that within two clicks, you have access to hundreds of thousands of lessons and problems.

How does it work?
You can easily create whiteboard lessons by selecting any problem from MobyMax’s curriculum or creating your own problems. When your students arrive, simply click the lesson you created, and Moby will display it.  The curriculum is fully interactive, so teachers or students can answer problems on a Smart Board or a connected computer as they are displayed.


Why should I use Whiteboard Activities?
Students love using MobyMax on their own, but until now, teachers haven’t had a way to utilize Moby in a whole-class setting. With Whiteboard Activities, that all changes. Whiteboard Activities gives you a simple way to use the entire catalogue of MobyMax curriculum with your whole group. If you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for in Moby’s curriculum, you can create your own problems that perfectly pair with your lesson plan.

Student Response System
What is it?
Moby’s Student Response System allows you to queue up a series of problems for students to answer and provides real-time data to quickly assess student understanding. It’s a great tool for whole-class instruction, but you can also use it to create exit tickets or even homework assignments.

How does it work?
You can create lessons by selecting problems from Moby’s curriculum, or create your own. Once you enable access to a lesson, students can log in to their own MobyMax accounts via any internet-connected device (such as a laptop, tablet, or phone) to submit answers. You will get real-time data as students answer questions to quickly assess whether or not students understand the material.


Why should I use Student Response System?
Moby’s Student Response System is a fantastic way to engage every student. Students love answering questions on their devices and seeing the class data. In addition to increasing engagement, Student Response System also gives you an excellent tool for checking understanding and administering formative assessment throughout a lesson. The real-time data provided by Moby’s Student Response System allows you to see which concepts students have mastered and where they need further instruction.

In response to a popular feature request, we just added read-aloud to Badges, Messenger, and Behavioral Vibes. Your students can now click the speaker icon to have the text read aloud to them.

You also might notice a few name changes when you sign into MobyMax: Fact Master is now Fact Fluency, Vibes is now Behavior Vibes, and Clicker is now Student Response System. Don't worry; these modules work exactly the same way as they did before. Only the names are different.

Last but not least, Science curriculum is now available for Grade 8. Click the Science button to assign students rigorous lessons on cells, the solar system, and organic chemistry!

It's almost 2016, and MobyMax resolves to bring you lots of fun features in the new year. We're getting started early with a brand new look. Not only is the new look spiffy, it also makes the site easier to navigate. Sign into your teacher and student accounts today to explore!



Also, a few months ago MobyMax released its placement test viewer, and teachers loved it! Now we've made it even better by adding associated standards for each question. It's also easier to see whether or not a student gets a question correct or incorrect.

We just released Science curriculum for grade 7! Click the "Science" button on your Teacher Panel to explore lessons on biomes, the endocrine system, plate tectonics, and more.

We also made transferring and sharing students even more of a snap. Previously, teachers were only able to transfer or share students from their own rosters. Now teachers can transfer or share students by "grabbing" them from other teachers within their school.

This is a very powerful feature, so by default it is turned off.  MobyMax administrators can turn this feature on, but if you are not sure who your school’s MobyMax administrator might be, give us a call at 888-793-8331 and we can help you.

Sixth Grade Science
Moby Science is now available for grade six! Click on the "Science" button and then the "Library" button in your teacher dashboard to explore grade six lessons on viruses, oceanography, electromagnetic waves, and more!

Placement Test Viewer for Math and Language
We know teachers love how the MobyMax placement test helps them find and fix student skills gaps. Now, we've gone and made placement test reporting even better!

With the new placement test viewer, teachers can see all of the questions a student answers on any placement test—past or present. The viewer provides teachers with tons of new placement test information, down to exactly how many seconds it took students to answer each question!

To take a peek at the placement test viewer:
1. After signing in, click the subject area button (e.g., "Math" or "Language").
2. Click "Placement."
3. Click a student's grade level score.
4. Click the placement test date in the upper left hand corner.

We've also given www.MobyMax.com a little makeover and improved the look of student answer feedback.
